Rates are for a minimum of 24 hours rental. Additional hours will be calculated at one fifth of the daily rate, per hour up to a maximum of 5 hours.

Rates Includes:

  • Unlimited Kilometers, maintenance, passenger liability protection and insurance cover for third party property damage up to RM 3 Million and unlimited third party bodily injuries.
  • 6 % Govertment Service Tax (GST)
  • Liability Reduction Option (LRO)
    Rate quoted is inclusive of Liability Reduction Option (LRO). The rental is responsible for all damages caused to the vehicle,including theft regardless of fault. Upon the renter’s acceptance and subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in the Rental Agreement, the rental’s liability is limited to the Excess Fee.In the event of an accident of theft, PROVIDED the renter has made a police report within 24 hours from the time of the accident or theft, Hertz shall be entitled to charge the renter a maximum excess fee of RM 2000.00 for all cars.
    - nInsurance cover third party property damage up to RM 3 million and unlimited third party bodily injuries.
    - Passenger liability protection.

Rates Excludes:

  • Super Liability Reduction Option (SLRO)
    Addtional purchase of Super Liability Reduction Option at RM 25 per day or RM 175 per week will entitle the rental to zero excess.
  • Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
    The renter may also purchase Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) for a coverage of up to RM150,000.00 at a fee of RM8.00 per day for a Car or 4WD or RM14.00 per day for a MPV. The PAI covers permanent disability and deaths and includes medical expenses of up to RM2,000.00 per person per accident based on a maximum seating capacity of 5 for a Car or 4WD and 8 for a MPV.
  • One way rental drop off fee between Agent locations and other locations stipulated in the one way rental drop off fees chart. A minimum of three (3) days rental is required.
  • Drop off fees will be imposed for all locations in East Malaysia, e.g Miri, Sandakan etc. regardless of rental days
  • Petrol, Toll fees, parking charges, traffic fines, airport charges, fuel & other optional charges

  • Every vehicle is rented out with a full tank of fuel and must be returned the same. Otherwise the renter will be charged for a refill upon return.

Parking Fees and Traffic Fines

  • The Renter is liable foal for all parking and traffic summonses incurred for the duration of the rental. An additional RM50.00 administration fee will be charged to the renter over and above and fine and penalty cost for any violation arising from the renter’s use of vehicle. Agent retains the right to charge against the renter’s charge/credit card if and when payment is due for traffic fines committed by the renter, upon receiving notification from the government authorities.

Extension of Rental

  • Should the renter wish to extend the rental or appoint any additional drivers, it is compulsory to advise Agent immediately to facilitate the extension of the insurance coverage.

No Shows & Cancelations

  • Deposit Paid RM100.00 are non refundable.

Driver Regulation

  • Renters must be between 23 and 65 years old.
  • Renters must possess a valid current local driving license or an International driving permit with qualified driving experience of at least one year
  • Additional drivers are free of charge. Minimum rental age and other requirement will be the same as for the renter. Additional authorized drivers must be registered driver’s application. The application must request to carrental-kl@asiawebdirect.com.

Driving Restriction

  • All Malaysian vehicles are strictly prohibited from being driven into brunei, Singapore and Thailand.

Roadside Assistance

  • In the unlikely event of your vehicle being disabled, Agent offers a 24 hour Roadside Assistance service.


  • Child seats are available at RM31.80nett (this rate is inclusive of 6% GST) per unit per rental and subject to availability.
  • A complimentary Malaysia map will be provided to renter.

Delivery and Collection Service

  • Complimentry delivery and collection for hotel situated within Kuala Lumpur and Penang city centre for a minimum rental of 3 days. See below for the list of hotels. RM 53.00 nett(this rate is inclusived of 6 % GST) will be charged for delivery and collection for reservation less than 3 days.
  • Complimentry delivery and collection services is not applicable on Sundays and Malaysia/State Public Holidays and after operating hours. A fee of RM 53.00 nett ((this rate is inclusived of 6 % GST) will be levied for this service.

  • A fee of RM 53.00 nett (this rate is inclusived of 6 % GST) will be charged for delivery and collection for cars to hotel or resorts located in East and West Malaysia not listed above.
  • No delivery and collection services from LCCT Sepang (Low Cost Carrier Terminal).

Rent-It-Here, Leave-It-There

  • A repositioning charge will be levied for one-way rentals. Details on the charges and procedures will be made available at time of enquiry.

Vehicle Condition

  • Upon return, the car has to be in the same condition as when it was rented. Failing which, the renter will be liable for the cost of restoring the vehicle to its original condition.


  • A sum of RM 50.00 subject to 6%GST (RM 53 nett) will be levied for check out and collection of vehicles, after business hours, inclusive of Sunday and Malaysia/State Public Holidays for all location nationwide.


  • All complaints or disputes on charges must be brought to Agent’s attention no later than 30 days from the date of completion of rental, otherwise the amount charged in the Rental Agreement should be conclusive.

Restricted Entry

  • All cars are strictly prohibited from being driven into Singapore, Thailand and Brunei.

Prohibited Odours

  • All items and goods discharging unpleasant odours are strictly forbidden from being carried in the vehicle (eg. Durians, salted fish etc). The renter will be liable to reimburse Agent on demand for all costs of eliminating such odours, including the servicing of the whole air conditioner system and the loss of rental days to Agent.

Late Return & Extra Hours Rate

  • Agent offers a grace periob of 59 minutes on the last day, after which late return charges and extra hours are as follow:
    - Extra hours calculated at one fifth of the standard Daily Rate (SDR), per hour up to maximum of five (5) hours
    - A full day’s rate (SDR) will be charged for cars returned after the sixth hour (6) hours.

Non – operating Hour Charges (After Hours):

  • To meet reservations after operating hours a fee of RM53 nett (this rate is inclusive of 6% GST) will be charged based on the respective branch location providing the services
  • The fee of RM53 nett (this rate is inclusive of 6% GST) also applies for such services rendered during Sunday and Malaysia/State Public Holiday.
